Ich habe einen Towitoko, Typ Chipdrive micro 120 (Ver. 4.3). Ich glaube, der wird wohl genügen. Ich fange noch heute an zu experimentieren und melde mich bei Erfolg (und auch bei Misserfolg).

Ich gehöre auch zu dem Dummen, die sich mit dem Gerät herumschlagen dürfen. Wenn ich die Beiträge so lese, stellt sich mir folgende Frage:

Die Chipkarte wird nur beim einlegen einer neuen Patrone gebraucht, danach ist sie anscheinend ohne Funktion. Wäre es deshalb nicht evtl. clever, wenn man die Karte bevor sie in den Drucker kommt ausliest, Daten speichern und dann einlegen (anschließend Karte nochmal auslesen und nachschauen, welcher Wert geändert worden ist)?

Ich habe den Verdacht, das die Karte quasi einen Reset im Drucker auslöst.

Ich habe ein TOWITOKO Chipdrive, welches Programm könnte sich am besten zum auslesen eignen?

Hätte ich gewusst, dass Philips da so eine Sauerei mit der Chipkarte einbaut, hätte ich das Gerät bei Lidl stehen lassen.
Das Gerät selbst ist wirklich toll verarbeitet und macht eigentlich bis auf gelegentliche Softwarehänger und einen Speicherkartenleser mit steinzeitlicher Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit alles was es soll.

Jedoch die Sache mit den Chipkarten gibt einen deutlich spürbaren säuerlichen Beigeschmack, der nicht zu einer Kundenbindung führt sondern genau zu dem Gegenteil, nämlich zu einer ziemlichen Übelkeit mit Würgreiz. Ich werde definitiv nie wieder ein solches Gerät kaufen, da ich mich als Kunde verarscht fühle.
Wäre ja so als ob ich mit dem Auto auch nur eine Tankstelle einer bestimmten Marke anfahren kann, mit der der Hersteller einen Vertrag abgeschlossen hat. Wenn ich nicht in die Fachwerkstatt gehe, bleibt zudem das Auto einfach stehen, wenn das Serviceintervall nicht eingehalten wird. So ein Auto würde sicher niemand kaufen.

Es müsste eine EU-Verordnung geben, die die Möglichkeit bietet, von Fremdherstellern entsprechende Patronen zu kaufen.
Microsoft wurde doch schließlich auch gezwungen, den Austausch des Internet Explorers gegen andere Browser zu ermöglichen.

(Zudem war es ziemlich schwierig, die Patronen zu einem annehmbaren Preis zu bekommen. Bei Lidl gab es sie gar nicht, bei Staples stand das Gerät herum, aber Patronen gab es keine. Irgendwann hab ich dann einen Mediamarkt weit ab von der Heimat gefunden, der wenigstens die Farbpatrone hatte. Jetzt habe ich einen Versandhändler gefunden, wo die Originalpatronen fast 10 Euro billiger sind als der Listenpreis).

Direkt nach dem Einsetzen der Karte wird diese ´entwertet´. Dem Drucker ist es somit letztlich egal, wieviel Tinte in der Patrone ist.
