Es gibt Wochen, in denen ich keine einzige Seite drucke.
Ich war daher völlig platt, als der Drucker mir gestern meldete, der Tintentank für Magenta sei fast leer. Ich habe mir dann alle Tanks angeschaut und in der Tat ist nicht nur bei Magenta, sondern auch bei einigen weiteren die Flüssigtintenkammer leer. :shock:

Mir fiel wieder ein, im Beitrag Multifunktionsdrucker MIT Fax - Canon MX870 oder andere? von Bernd den Satz "Saufen tut ein Canon nur dann wenn man ihn vom Netzstrom trennt. Dann putzt er beim Einschalten viel." gelesen zu haben.

Mein MX870 hängt an einer Steckdosenleiste mit Schalter, an der auch PC und Bildschirm angeschlossen sind. Diese wird morgens ein- und abends ausgeschaltet. Den MX870 selber schalte ich nur ein, wenn ich auch etwas zu drucken habe.

Kann durch Putzen beim Einschalten dieser unerwartet hohe Tintenverbrauch ausgelöst worden sein?

Ist es besser, den MX870 an eine permanet eingeschaltete Steckdose anzuschliessen, also dauernd im Stand-by zu lassen?
