wenn es die Option gibt, dann gibt es da wohl auch einen Unterschied. Würde ja sonst keinen Sinn machen, das seit Gerätegenerationen in der Firmware drin zu haben, wenn es immer das gleiche macht.

Aber wie Mint schon geschrieben hat - Tintenverbrauch ist hier nicht das Thema. Das Purgen kann schon was bringen, das Problem ist nur man macht sich damit den Waste-Ink Behälter voll - und dann hat man das nächste Problem. Schafft man an einem Nachmittag völlig ohne Probleme. Bei Quick & Dirty hat man das Problem nicht.

Ich weiss halt nur - wir haben bei vielen Geräte bei uns im Service schon aufgegeben und die dann einfach ins Regal gestellt. Wenn man dann mal nen Teil aus der Kiste braucht oder was anderes probieren will - dann tun die plötzlich wieder, wie von alleine. Es geht da halt nix über dern Faktor Zeit & Geduld.

9.4.26 Purge Operation (Function code 76) (User-accessible)
Function
The machine can carry out several types of purge operations--head replacement purge, normal
purge, periodical reset purge, power purge, initial purge, user reset purge, and engine setup
purge. This function allows you to select the desired purge type and carry it out.
TIP: The purge types and their details are described on the next page.
Operating Procedure
(1) Press the 7 and 6 keys in this order in the initial stage of the maintenance mode. For models
without numerical keypad, enter 7 and 6 in this order using the , and OK keys.
The machine displays the "CLEANING ALL" on the LCD and enters the purge mode.
(2) Press the or key to display the target color for purge.
NOTE: In models with touch panel, if the , , , and keys are not displayed on the
software keypad, it is necessary to switch the software keypads between the numerical and
function keypads by pressing the Scan and Copy keys simultaneously.
Each time the or key is pressed, the "CLEANING ALL," "CLEANING BLACK,"
"CLEANING MAGENTA," "CLEANING CYAN," or "CLEANING YELLOW" appears
cyclically.
"CLEANING ALL": Purge for all four color inks
"CLEANING BLACK": Purge for black ink
"CLEANING MAGENTA" / "CLEANING CYAN" / "CLEANING YELLOW": Any
color choice performs purge for all three color inks.
(3) Enter the purge code according to the table on the next page.
(4) Press the Black Start (Mono Start) key.
Upon completion of purging, the machine automatically returns to the initial stage of the
maintenance mode.9-57 Confidential
Purge types, ink usage, purge counts, and purge codes
The above information is as of April 1, 2010.
(Note) If the head/carriage unit is replaced with a spare part having a round, blue seal on its left side
(shown in Appendix 1, "(2) Head property labels"), perform the head replacement purge. If it is replaced
with the one having no seal, perform the initial purge.
This machine counts all purge operations and flushing operations performed since produced in
order to prevent the ink absorber box and flushing box from overflowing with drained and
flushed ink, respectively. An initial purge, for example, advances the counter by 133 + 316 =
449.
When the purge or flushing counter approaches 5760 or 568181818, respectively, the
"MACHINE ERROR 46" appears, and further purge or flushing operations are prohibited.
Replace the ink absorber box and flushing box, and then reset their counters. (Refer to the
Chapter 7, Section 7.5 for the reset procedure.)

es könnte sein dass das evtl. nicht bei allen Geräten gleich umgesetzt ist. Auf die Funktion der selektiven Reinigung sind wir bei einem J4110 gekommen. Die selektive Renigung ist ja nur dann machbar wenn der Drucker via Purge-Einheit wirklch nur ein Düsensegment absaugen kann. Auf der anderen Seite wäre es denkbar dass selektion der Farben nur eine Unterstützende Funktion ist, also z.B. so: Abgesaugt wird bei CMY aber nur bei einer Farbe wird zusätzlich noch ein Druckimpuls über da Piezoelement ausgelöst. Nur Brother wird die Antwort wissen;=)

]]> 2014-02-14T15:33:48+01:00 http://www.hstt.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6779&p=32227#p32227 <![CDATA[Maintenance Menu: Purge betrifft alle Kanäle]]> Ich habe gerade vom hstt support die Info bekommen, dass die Weichgummi-Verschlüssel permanent ins untere Loch ("C") können - bei der Gelegenheit nahm ich alle Patronen heraus und war sehr erstaunt, dass in allen Farben 1/4 und bei black 1/5 fehlte, denn: seit ich sie aufgefüllt hatte, habe ich gezielt über das Maintenance Menu nur den Magenta Kanal gepurged ( "purge - magenta", S/w-Taste). Gedruckt habe ich definitiv nicht. Das heißt eineindeutig, dass beim Purgen eines gezielten Farbkanals zumindest im selben Masse Tinte aus den anderen Kanälen verschwendet wird.

Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder Ideen für einen Fix?
