HINWEIS: Es gibt zum Service-Mode von Canon keine frei verfügbaren Infos. Alles was wir hier zu diesem Thema schreiben ist ohne Gewähr und basiert auf rumprobieren.

Wer sich nicht 1000% sicher ist was er tut - der sollte die Finger davon lassen, da man damit sein Gerät wahrscheinlich auch ins Nirwana schiessen kann....

Um bei den Pixma MP Multifunktionsgeräten in den Service Mode zu gelangen ist folgendes einzugeben.

- Taste Menue druecken
- Taste Scan druecken
- Taste Copy druecken
- Taste Scan druecken

Um den Service-Mode zu verlassen, drueckt man die Taste "Reset" und schaltet danach das Gerät über den Stand-By Schalter aus.

Im Service-Mode gibt es 9 Funktionsbereiche.

Bereich 7 - Printer:

hier gibt es 20 Soft-Switche die man tunlichst nicht aendern sollte. Direkt danach gibt es die Einträge

- Printer Reset
- Print Count
- Ink Absorber Capa
- CDR Adjust

Beim Punkt "Ink Absorber Capa" kann man einen Prozentwert eingeben. von 0-100 über die normale Numeriktatstatur.

Der Punkt "Printer Reset" hat nix mit dem Waste-Ink-Absorber zu tun und ist scheinbar ohne Funktion. Also lieber Finger weg....

Bereich 9 ROM

In diesem Bereich gibt es den Unterpunkt "SERVICE REPORT" hier kann man sich folgende Berichte ausdrucken.

1. Service & System
2. Service Data
3. System Dump

Auf der Service-Test-Seite ist der Waste-Ink-Counter mit D=xxx.x angegeben.

Also - in diesem Fall hat sich bewaehrt, Stromstecker ziehen und das Ding über Nach stehen lassen. Für den Fall dass man sich vertippt hat, d.h. es lässt sich nicht mehr normal ausschalten - hat man damit eine Chance wieder in den Normalzustand zurück zu kommen. Schnelles ein/ausschalten beeindruckt die Kiste nicht.
