Dies geht bei folgenden Modellen:

i550, i560
i850, i860, i865

Pixma iP3000, iP4000, iP5000, iP4200, iP5200
Pixma iX4000, iP5000

Um die Funktion aufzurufen muss man zuerst in den Service-Modus gehen.

1. Drucker ausschalten
2. Resume-Taste drücken und gedrückt halten
3. Power-Taste drücken und gedrückt halten
4. Resume-Taste wieder loslassen
5. Resume-Taste ZWEIMAL antippen
6. Power-Taste loslassen
7. Der Drucker arbeitet und macht Geräusche, einfach warten bis sich alles beruhigt hat.
8. Die Funktionwählen, dazu 6 mal die Resume-Taste antippen

(mit jedem Tip der Taste wechselt die Farbe der LED)

9. Funktion starten durch drücken der Power-Taste

(Das Gerät führt jetzt die Erweiterte Kopfreinigung durch, das Funktionsende ist erreicht wenn das Gerät keine Geräusche mehr macht)


10. Den Service-Modus durch antippen der Power-Taste verlassen.

Das Gerät schaltet normal ab und kann danach wieder ganz normal benutzt werden.

Achtung: Im Service-Modus kann man sich auch verlaufen und den Modell-String des Gerätes verstellen, in diesem Fall passt der Treiber nicht mehr zum Gerät und Gerätefunktionen wie Display können deaktiviert werden.
